Disclosed are a plug-in interface method and apparatus using an abstract interface in realizing a plug-in interface system. The interface method according to the present invention comprises the steps of: generating an abstract interface defined in a message exchange bus (MEB); generating the dynamic link library of a message exchange component (MEC) using the generated abstract interface; and connecting the generated DLL and the MEB and transmitting and receiving data using data stored in the MEB. According to the present invention, it is possible to solve dependency problems due to reference to a framework object which may occur at the compile time by reference to the abstract interface even if a separate plug-in provider does not exist.
