Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for producing a sintered ore, including: a sinter cart for accommodating a raw material for sintering; an ignition furnace installed on top of the sintering cart to ignite the surface of the raw material for sintering; a wind box prepared on the bottom of the sintering apparatus for sintering the raw material for sintering by inhaling the air of the raw material for sintering; an inhaling fan installed on the wind box to additionally inhale the air flowing in from the edge of the ignition furnace; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the inhaling fan.
