The present invention relates to a surveillance camera control system and method for simultaneously monitoring a tele screen and a wide screen using a single camera. The surveillance camera control system according to the present invention includes: a monitoring camera; an operating unit which orders the monitoring camera to operate locally or remotely; a monitor which displays an image photographed by the monitoring camera; and a controller which (a) controls the monitoring camera to zoom in and transmits a tele screen to the monitor, (b) controls the monitoring camera to zoom out, captures a wide screen, and transmits the wide screen to the monitor, and (c) controls the monitoring camera to zoom in again and retransmits a tele screen to the monitor. According to the present invention, an effective surveillance system can be built with low costs for installation by displaying a wide screen around a tele screen on a screen while displaying the tele screen even though surroundings is monitored using one monitoring camera. |
