The present invention relates to a selectively driving power supply device by detecting a load variation. The power supply device converts an AC voltage into a DC voltage and supplies the DC voltage to a DC-DC conversion module. The power supply device comprises an input unit which removes electromagnetic noise from the AC voltage and rectifies and rectifies the AC voltage; and a fluctuating load power converter which includes at least two AC-DC power conversion units with optimized efficiency and power factor by load capacity, selectively drives the AC-DC power conversion units according to the capacity of the DC-DC conversion module, corrects a power factor of power delivered from the input unit, and supplies the power into the DC-DC conversion module.
