<p>Disclosed are a method for determining the type of a communication network and a method for providing content using the same. According to one preferable embodiment of the present invention, the method for determining the type of a communication network includes: measuring latency with a device that transmitted a content request; determining whether the measured latency is greater than or equal to or greater than a preset reference; and determining the content request is a content request via a mobile communication network. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide content differentiating a mobile communication network from the Internet communication network without needing to install an additional program on a client to request content or operate an separate content server, to provide the content via both the mobile communication network and the Internet communication network while operating one content server and differentiating the mobile communication network from the Internet communication network. Therefore, it is possible to provide content more rapidly since the differentiation between the mobile communication network and the Internet communication network can be done and to provide different formats of content according to the type of a communication network.</p> |
