PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for forming a protrusion for suture are provided to easily obtain the protrusion by cutting while the upper side of the suture is pressurized. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for forming a protrusion for suture comprises: a lower portion supporting member(30) which supports the suture at the lower portion and has a suture supporting side which is extended along the longitudinal direction of the suture(80); a cutting member(50) with a cutting side for forming the protrusion; and an upper portion supporting member(40) which is separately coupled to the lower portion supporting member. The apparatus further comprises a clamping device(20) which is placed at the upper side of an apparatus main body(70).
