The present invention relates to a novel composition to enhance the immunity of plants containing a gene carrier including nucleic acid molecules coding an amino acid sequence presented by sequence number 1, particularly, the composition enhances the resistibility to pathogens. If OsMEK2 gene is transformed into Oryza sativa and overexpresses, a lesion by rice blast is not formed and the expression of the genes related to a defense mechanism is induced. Thus, the composition containing the gene carrier inducing the overexpression of the OsMEK2 gene can effectively control the plant′s immune system without effecting the growth of the plant and yield if pathogens invade. In conclusion, the inventors suggest that the OsMEK2 is a protein specifically regulating the resistibility to pathogens, thereby having the potential to be a breeding material to a variety of resistance to plant diseases. |
