The present invention relates to a scent booster for leaving scent on clothes by being simultaneously applied with detergents in washing and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to a scent booster comprising: salt seed particles; and a first coated layer of a mixture including polyethylene glycol, cationic polymers, silica, scents and scent capsules, and a second coated layer including starch, wherein the first coated layer and second coated layer are sequentially formed on the surface of the salt seed particles; and to a manufacturing method thereof. Using the scent booster according to the present invention can effectively reduce scent loss in washing by the effect of scent impregnation of silica and the cloth adhesive property of cationic polymers, and at the same time effectively leave scent on clothes. Accordingly, the scent booster according to the present invention effectively emits scent when a consumer wears clothes after washing.
