The present invention relates to a presser foot moving distance controlling system of a sewing machine and a controlling method of the same and, more specifically, to a presser foot moving distance controlling system comprising a motor combined with the presser foot to make the system move the presser foot horizontally; a moving distance input means inputting the moving distance between the highest and lowest points of the presser foot to change the highest point of the presser foot into the desired point whenever a user wants; a one-touch button inputting an operation command to make the presser to move between the highest point (H2) and the lowest point (H1) of the set height (D2, D1).
