<p>The present invention relates to a flame-retardant resin composition, a flame-retardant coating film using the same, and a method of applying a flame-retardant resin composition. The flame-retardant resin composition forms the flame-retardant coating film on steel structures such as common buildings and marine structures by a certain method such as spraying. The flame-retardant resin composition includes: a binder resin; a thinner; expandable graphite; a water-dispersible acrylic resin; and a solvent. The flame-retardant resin composition forms a flame-retardant coating of a dense resin-expandable graphite composite with a binder resin, a thinner, expandable graphite, a water-dispersible acrylic resin, and a solvent. Therefore, the flame-retardant resin composition: has an excellent flame-retardant effect; does not include halogen thus is eco-friendly; is rapidly dried when applied to form a coating film; is highly water-resistant; and has increased weather-proof properties and mechanical properties.</p> |
