CONTACT ROLL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A contact roll (1) unfolds a sheet against a predetermined facing roll and is pressed by the contact pressure. The contact roll (1) includes: a center axis (2) with an outer circumferential surface (2a); and a cylindrical exterior (3) which is arranged on the outer side of the center axis (2) to have the same center line (L) with the center axis (2), and is coupled to the center axis (2) in a direction parallel to the center line (L) at the center unit (2c) of the center axis (2). The center axis (2) is made of a material which a longitudinal elastic modulus between 190 and 470 GPa, and the exterior (3) is a material which a longitudinal elastic modulus between 100 and 470 GPa. The distance between the outer surface (2) of the center axis and the inner surface (3b) of the exterior (3) is less thank the value of the outer diameter of the exterior (3) multiplied by the value of 0.10 mm.
