A driving circuit for driving a semiconductor device and a method are provided. The driving circuit includes a buck converter for generating a baseline current and a capacitor which is connected between the output of the buck convertor and the ground. This capacitor stores charges during the off-state of the buck convertor and discharges the stored charges as a peak current during the on-state of the buck convertor. The baseline current reaches current limit before the capacitor is completely discharged. The output current in the output of the buck convertor is at least partly based on the baseline current and the peak current. |
