Disclosed are a device for recording a broadcasting program and a screen display method performed by the same. According to embodiments of the present invention, the device and the method enable a user to immediately move a screen to a menu screen in the user-desired step and are capable to remarkably reducing a screen moving route to use other contents by extracting every screen information, for example, every information of menu screens in the steps performed to execute certain content so that the information can be provided for the screen. The device for recording a broadcasting program according to the present invention comprises: an interface unit for inputting return signals; a control unit for extracting screen information in the steps included in a moving route to execute at least one content, generating respective step indicators corresponding to the extracted screen information in the steps, and controlling a list of the generated step indicators to be displayed in a certain portion of the screen according to the return signals; and a display unit for displaying the screen in the step corresponding to the selected step indicator if one of the list of the step indicators displayed in the screen is selected. |
