An image forming apparatus is disclosed. The image forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of photoconductors; a light source unit including a plurality of light sources; a polygon mirror deflecting the beam in the photoreceptors direction using a plurality of reflecting surfaces of a plurality of beams which are outputted from the light sources; a beam detecting unit outputting a beam detection signal by receiving the beam reflected from the polygon mirror in the course of the polygon mirror rotating; and a horizontal synchronizing signal generating unit counting the beam reflecting time of the beam reflected from the reflective surfaces by receiving an input of the beam detection signal respectively, comparing a correction value calculated for the respective reflecting surfaces and the counted beams reflection time individually, and generating the horizontal synchronizing signal of the reflecting surfaces to provide the light source unit. |
