The display device (1) has several LED circuit boards (3) comprising several individually controllable red, green and blue (RGB) LEDs (4). The device surface (2) produced from translucent polycarbonate has covering non-transparent lacquer coating (5) on the side facing away from or towards LED circuit board. The covering non-transparent lacquer coating is removed at the points corresponding to the position of LEDs in assembled condition of display device for making display device translucent at points corresponding to the position of LEDs.
