The present invention relates to a portable system for recognizing the license plate of a vehicle. The system includes: a camera which takes a photo of a parked vehicle to get the license number of the vehicle; a main terminal which detects the license number from the photo taken by the camera and wirelessly transmits vehicle data including the time when and the location where the photo of the vehicle is taken; a management server which receives the vehicle data transmitted from the main terminal, compares the received vehicle data with the pre-stored vehicle violation condition data, transmits or receives and manages vehicle violation data; and a related institution terminal which receives data about a certain vehicle from the management server. The main terminal receives the violation vehicle data received in the management server and displays the received violation vehicle data. By comparing the pre-stored vehicle data in the management server and the photo of the license plate of the vehicle taken by the camera, vehicles under violation conditions are detected and the data is sent to the related institution terminal. By doing so, it is possible to take a quick measure, prevent secondary crimes, improve accuracy of the location and the position of the photo, and be portable by reducing the size of the main terminal. |
