The present invention relates to an alignment method of a diffraction grid-based pulse expander in a chirped pulse amplification system. The diffraction grid-based pulse expander which is applied to the chirped pulse amplification system includes a laser resonator which emits laser light, a first diffraction grid, a second diffraction grid, a spherical mirror, and a right-angled mirror. A height difference between input and output pulses is formed by rotating the spherical mirror at an predetermined angleθ^θwith the center of the spherical mirror as a rotary center and rotating the second diffraction grid and the right-angled mirror at a predetermined angle 2θ^θwith the center of the spherical mirror as a rotary center. The present invention like the forementioned is able to: remove a bad influence which is caused by the aberration and dispersion of a lens; resolve a special restriction between optical components; and freely adjust the size of an offset between the input and output pulses. |
