Disclosed is a self-priming pump. A self-priming pump according to the present invention is installed at the ground beside a river, a stream, and a reservoir and has a direct connecting structure of an engine and a pump to function as a lift pump. The self-priming pump includes a transmission shaft directly connected to the engine; an impeller installed in a pump housing and connected to the transmission shaft; and an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe each formed one side of the pump housing. The impeller is coupled to a front end of one side of the transmission shaft and is driven by the power of the engine. The impeller has a disc plate formed with a coupling portion at a center, to which the transmission shaft is coupled, and a plurality of vanes protruding from the top surface of the plate and radially arranged around the coupling portion. The vane is bent in an arc shape, and an inclined portion is formed at one side of the vane. Therefore, since the structure of the impeller is modified, the pump can have the large head capacity of 18 m or more. It is possible to exclude inflow of priming water at initial working, thereby improving the reliability of the work. |
