METHOD FOR SUBSTITUTING PASSWORD OF CERTIFICATE BY USING BIOMETRICS

The present invention relates to a method for replacing a password of a certificate using biometrics. The method for replacing the password of the certificate using the biometrics is executed through an application installed in a wireless terminal comprising a biometrics module which recognizes the body of a user and one or more secure element (SE) modules. The method for replacing the password of the certificate using the biometrics comprises a first step for recording a biometrics template which corresponds to the biometrics data of the user recognized through the biometrics module in a designated storage area of an SE module when the certificate of the user is issued or copied in the wireless terminal; a second step for confirming a biometrics template change value which hashes the biometrics template recorded in the storage area of the SE module; a third step for replacing the password of the certificate by the biometrics template change value and applying the password of the certificate to a certificate file; a fourth step for authenticating the biometrics data of the user recognized through the biometrics module by using the biometrics template recorded in the storage area of the SE module; a fifth step for obtaining the biometrics template change value which hashes the biometrics template recorded in the storage area of the SE module as the result of biometrics authentication; and a sixth step for using the biometrics template change value as the password of the certificate.
