FIELD: measurement equipment.SUBSTANCE: series of repeated probing acoustic signals are emitted into the pipe at its one end, and the signals are separated by intervals of time between their repetitions in the series, signals reflected from the defects of the internal pipe volume are measured, and results are averaged for all measurements of the series of signals, they determine the nature of the defect using amplitude-time characteristics of the averaged signal, at the same time the duration of time intervals between the repetitions of the probing acoustic signals in the series is changed from a signal to a signal in the series so that interval of time before each subsequent signal differs from the previous intervals of time by the value of at least the duration of the probing acoustic signal.EFFECT: making it possible to eliminate effect of foreign noise and reverberation at measurement result. |
