MEMORY SYSTEM AND OPERATING METHOD OF THE SAME

Disclosed are a memory system and an operation method thereof. According to an embodiment, the memory system includes a flash memory and a memory controller. The operation method of the memory system includes a step of loading a page mapping table for a block in the flash memory allocated in response to a registration request inputted into the memory system onto a cache memory included in the memory controller; a step of updating the page mapping table loaded onto the cache memory after processing the registration request; a step of storing the update data of the page mapping table into a non-volatile memory included in the memory controller; and a step of storing the page mapping table into the flash memory when the registration of the block is completed.
