METHOD FOR AUTODERMOPLASTY IN SUBFASCIAL ELLIPTIC THERMAL INJURIES IN AGED PATIENTS

A method for autodermoplasty in the subfascial elliptic thermal injuries in the aged patients comprises the mobilization of the skin and the subcutaneous tissue in a shape of the flaps at the edges of the thermal-induced defects sparing the small arteries and veins of the subcutaneous tissue. The flaps are perforated, expanded, transposed towards each other, and sutured over the burn surface cleared of the necrotic tissues. Four flaps are shaped as the tongues with the vascular peduncles. The internal margin of the flaps is limited by the edge of the burn injury; the external one is limited by the equidistant of the ellipsis. The apices are located at the points where the equidistant of the ellipsis crosses the lines drawn at the right angles to the ellipsis from the characteristic points on the larger axis of the ellipsis of the burn defect. The flaps with the peduncles are located on the burn surface by the rotational-planar transposition towards its center.
