The present invention relates to a heavy metal adsorbent using magnesium smelting slag and a method for producing the same, and more specifically, to a heavy metal adsorbent using magnesium smelting slag for removing heavy metal contained in wastewater and to a method for producing the same. An embodiment of the present invention provides a heavy metal adsorbent including a magnesium smelting slag containing SiO_2 and CaO, and slaked lime, and a method for producing the same. According to the present invention, provided are the heavy metal adsorbent using magnesium smelting slag for effectively removing heavy metal contained in wastewater at a low cost and the method for producing the same. |
