880,317. Lawn-mowers. LEAMAN, F. L. Feb. 11, 1958 [Feb. 25, 1957], No. 6294/57. Class 6(2). In a power driven lawn-mover, the drive is transmitted from the shaft 9 of an electric motor 1 to a shaft 10 via a train of nylon reduction gears, and from thence to the shaft of the cutting cylinder 17 by means of a V belt 18 housed within a casing 19. Provision may be made for utilising the power from the motor 1 to propel the machine forward by providing a chain drive 25b between the shaft of the cutting cylinder and that of the roller 21 a clutch being included in the latter system so that the drive may be disengaged at will.
