The present invention relates to a device and a method to automatically open a trunk without a user operating a key fob by wireless communication of the key fob and detecting the user′s movement. The present invention prevents a vehicle trunk from being opened by allowing the trunk to be opened when the user′s movement is detected two times within a predetermined time period after the authentication of the key fob.
