The present invention relates to a system and a method for detecting a shooting position. The system for detecting a shooting position according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a block setting unit for segmenting an image into the predetermined number of blocks; a first block detecting unit for detecting a candidate block, of which a brightness value is more than a standard value, from an image of a prior frame; a second block detecting unit for setting a plurality of block groups containing the detected candidate block in an image of the present frame and detecting whether or not there is a block, of which a brightness value is more than the standard value, out of the block groups; and a shooting position setting unit for setting the block, of which the brightness value detected by the second block detecting unit is more than the standard value, as a shooting position.
