DEVICE FOR PROTECTION OF CENTRIFUGAL PUMP AGAINST CAVITATION ON BASIS OF COANDA EFFECT

A device for protection of a centrifugal pump against cavitation on the basis of Coanda effect includes a working pump with suction and pressure pipelines, and a bypass pipeline. The suction pipeline of the pump is made of two sections connected at horizontal side of the suction pipeline by means of flanges between which inter-flange inner space is formed. Between the walls of the sections of the suction pipeline slot nozzle is formed. The edge of the slot nozzle at the side of the suction cone is arranged with stepped straight shape, and at the side of the pump – in curvilinear shape, with rounding to inside of the pipeline.
