APPARATUS FOR EXTRACTING SPENT ABRASIVE FROM A WATERJET CUTTING TABLE

A shovel that can be vertically lifted and lowered into a confined space so as to enable the extraction of material from within the confined space is described. The shovel is particularly adapted for configuration to known lifting devices such as a forklift or small crane which thereby provides a cost-effective solution for removal of material from particular locations. The shovel is particularly adapted for the extraction and removal of used abrasive from high pressure waterjet cutting systems.
