The slide has a shaped section (4) that is connected to a base of a seat of a vehicle i.e. automobile. The shaped section is movable with regard to another shaped section (7) that is fixed on the structure of the vehicle between two extreme positions defined by a set of limit stops. A guidance bar is arranged parallel to the former shaped section and the latter shaped section. The guidance bar is able to be moved and stopped in an adjustable position. A block (1) cooperates with a stop part (3) interdependent of the former shaped section.
