<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for locally distinguishing between interference and congestion in femto-cell communication networks.SOLUTION: The method comprises: measuring, for each one of a plurality of time intervals, a set of parameters of network traffic between a base station and a terminal; and determining an extent to which the respective sets are correlated with one another. The method further includes determining whether the communication channel is experiencing interference or congestion on the basis of the extent of correlation between the sets of parameters.</p> |
