Provided are a data processing method and device. The method includes: performing code block segmentation processing on a data block to obtain a plurality of first processing blocks, the difference between the numbers of bits of any two of the plurality of first processing blocks being not greater than 1 bit; determining a plurality of second processing blocks according to a fill bit and the plurality of first processing blocks, the value of the fill bit being a predetermined value; adding N - K consecutive constant bits to each one of the plurality of second processing blocks to obtain a plurality of third processing blocks, wherein the values of the constant bits are predetermined values, and N - K ≥ 0; and performing polar coding according to the plurality of third processing blocks. In the embodiments of the present invention, by segmenting a data block as uniformly as possible and performing fill bit processing and constant bit processing thereon, it is thus capable of performing polar coding, reducing the performance difference among code blocks. |
