The present disclosure relates to an extraction machine (50) of an extraction installation (10) for mineral mining. The extraction machine (50) may comprise a first chain mount (8) configured to be connected to a first chain strand section (1A) of a chain (1), and a second chain mount (9) configured to be connected to the second chain strand section (1B) of the chain (1). The extraction machine (50) may further comprise a first pre-tensioning device (40) for building up a pre-tensioning force acting on the first chain mount (8) such that a pulling force acts on the first chain strand section (1A) in the direction of the second chain mount (9). Thereby, the operational behaviour of the extraction machine and/or the extraction installation may be improved.
