The device (30) has two screens (40-60) i.e. LED picture screen, suited to a display picture (AB) in full detail, where the screens are arranged one behind the other. An image of the picture screen behind a front picture screen in a viewing direction (B) is produced on the display device. The front screen is transparently formed, and light of the rear screen is attenuated or unattenuated to pass through the rear screen. Portions are constructional joined together by an overlay of partial images (TB1-TB3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a signal tower or guide device (2) a method for producing a display image.
