PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism to prevent failure in printing by performing confirmation upon paper replenishment adequately.SOLUTION: A printing device comprises: storage means for storing cassette identification information of an opened paper cassette; printing data acquisition means for acquiring printing data; cassette specifying means for specifying the paper cassette to be used for printing by analyzing the printing data; cassette judging means for judging whether the paper cassette specified by the cassette specifying means coincides with the paper cassette corresponding to the cassette identification information stored in the storage means or not; and test-printing implementing means for implementing test-printing from the paper cassette when the paper cassettes coincide with each other in the cassette judging means.
