Diagnosing the condition of an electrical system during operation may comprise identifying the intended operating status of the system, measuring an electrical consumption in the system, comparing the measured electrical consumption at least with one predetermined electrical consumption that is associated to the intended operating status of the system, and diagnosing the condition of the system based on the comparison.
