This wind turbine blade holding mechanism for gripping a wind turbine blade is equipped with: a box-shaped frame provided with first and second box members, each being a rigid structure; a first cushion member that is attached to the first box member, and is formed by an elastic body; and a second cushion member that is attached to the second box member, and is formed by an elastic body. The first box member and the second box member are linked in such a manner as to enable the box-shaped frame to open and close. With the box-shaped frame in closed state, the first cushion member and the second cushion member surround a wind turbine blade, and the box-shaped frame surrounds the first cushion member, the second cushion member and the wind turbine blade. |
