PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device which includes an ion generating unit and entirely diffuses ions to a space such as an indoor space.SOLUTION: A lighting device includes: a body 1; and an ion generating unit 10. The body 1 houses a light source unit including an LED serving as a light source. The ion generating unit 10 includes: a vortex flow fan; an ion generating element; and a housing 20 which is installed on an upper surface of a heat sink 3 from among the body 1 and houses the vortex flow fan. The housing 20 includes an air inlet 23 and an air outlet. The air inlet 23 causes air to flow into the housing 20. The air outlet causes ions to be emitted with air from the interior of the housing 20 to the exterior of the body 1. The air inlet 23 is disposed at an outer edge part of the heat sink 3 of the body 1 and is oriented in a substantially horizontal direction so that the air flows in a direction from the outer side to the inner side of the upper surface of the heat sink 3. The air outlet is oriented in a substantially vertical downward direction. |
