<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content receiver and a content distribution system that can provide a user with a content service provider (CSP) having an optimal communication environment.SOLUTION: A content receiver of a content distribution system comprises: a storage part that stores information indicating a plurality of CSPs distributing a content via a network in association with an address of a server functioning as each CSP; a communication part that is connected to the server via the network; a communication control part that connects each server indicated by the information and the communication part to each other, and causes prescribed data to be transferred from the server to the communication part; a transfer performance measurement part that measures transfer performance of the server when the prescribed data is transferred from the server to the communication part; a provider selection part that selects the CSP of which the transfer performance is equal to or more than a threshold value on the basis of the transfer performance measured by the transfer performance measurement part; and a display control part that causes a display device to display the CSP selected by the provider selection part.</p> |
