Provided are a xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber that maintains the basic characteristics of conventional chloroprene rubber while exhibiting good dynamic characteristics and a production method for said xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber. The xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber and the production method therefor are characterized in that the end of a chloroprene rubber molecule comprises a structure that is represented by formula (1).
