The present invention refers to a method for protecting ducts intended to transport hydrocarbons against clandestine intakes. Nowadays, there is no current system that protects the PEMEX ducts. The invention may be used in ducts being currently operated and those under construction. The system consists of hydraulic PVC piping pressurized, interconnected and built with a rupturing line in the midpoint thereof. In addition, the system has a cyclone mesh coated with PVC that is cast between the two PVC piping (as a sandwich). Pressure switches are used to detect the pressure drop allowing the damaged screened section to be located, and alert the personnel by means of sound and visible alarms in an alarm central unit. |
