[Problem] In a module-type data center and control method thereof, to prevent excess cooling of an electronic apparatus and to realize low power consumption. [Solution] A module-type data center provided with the following: a fan (3a) that generates cooling air (B) from fresh air (A); an electronic apparatus (6) that exhausts an exhaust current (E) generated from the suctioned cooling air (B); a channel (L) that guides a portion of the exhaust current (E) to the upstream of a fan (3a); an opening and closing part (5) for opening and closing the channel (L); and a control section (20) for adjusting the air volume of the cooling air (B). The control section (20) carries out the following: in a case where a first expected value (P1), which is the value of the power of the fan (3a) expected in a case where the temperature of the electronic apparatus (6) is made a prescribed temperature (TS) using the cooling air (B) with the opening and closing part (5) being closed, is smaller than the present value (P0) of such power, the opening and closing part (5) is closed; and in a case where a second expected value (P2), which is the value of the power of the fan (3a) expected in a case where the temperature of the electronic apparatus (6) is made a prescribed temperature (TS) using the cooling air (B) with the opening and closing part (5) being open, is smaller than the present value (P0) of such power, the opening and closing part (5) is opened. |
