Provided is a body setting device by which a pull can be stably set in a vertical orientation, onto a body set in a vertical orientation within a housing recess of the turntable of a slider assembly machine. [Solution] A device chassis (20) furnished with a turntable (4) has a housing recess (5a) into which a body (1) is set in a vertical orientation, and a pull retaining part (5b). The pull retaining part (5b) has left and right pull restraints (30) for clamping the pull (2) while it is set in a vertical orientation onto the body (1). By means of plate springs (32), the pull restraints (30) are held at a restraint position clamping the pull (2), the left and right pull restraints (30) moving in opposition to the plate springs (32) when the pull (2) is pushed therebetween, so that the pull (2) can be clamped between the left and right pull restraints (30) when the pull (2) is set on the body (1). |
