The control unit (26) of this remote controller (2) determines whether or not obtained environment data falls within a preset standard range, and then determines whether or not it is necessary to perform an automated-operation control for changing an air conditioner from the current state of operation thereof to a different state of operation, when the environment data does not fall within the standard range. In addition, the control unit (26) displays an automated-operation-permission screen on a user interface unit (20) for a prescribed amount of time in order to for ask permission of a user, when determined that the automated-operation control of the air conditioner is necessary. The control unit (26) performs the automated-operation control for changing to another state of operation when the user performs an operation for granting permission for the automated-operation control via the automated-operation-permission screen, or when the user does not perform an operation using the automated-operation-permission screen. |
