PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymorphic phase of 3-(4-amino-1-oxo-1,3-dihydro-isoindole-2-yl)-piperidine-2,6-dione.SOLUTION: The invention includes a polymorphic phase of 3-(4-amino-1-oxo-1,3-dihydro-isoindole-2-yl)-piperidine-2,6-dione. In a specific aspect, the invention provides polymorphs of a compound defined herein as morphological bodies A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H. Also the invention includes a mixture of these morphological bodies. In further embodiment, the invention provides methods of manufacturing, isolating and characterizing the polymorphs. |
