PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel chair for starting an auxiliary brake automatically when a person rises from a seat portion, although the auxiliary brake may be small-sized to require a smaller installation space, which has a light and inexpensive auxiliary brake, and can release the started auxiliary brake forcibly so that it can easily moved in a vacant state to another place.SOLUTION: An auxiliary brake for applying a braking force to a tire when the user stands up from a seat comprises at least: a rocking arm member and a cam member 14; and a wire member for connecting the rocking arm member and the cam member 14. The auxiliary brake is characterized in that, when the user is not seated, the rotation of a tire 4 is blocked by the force which is transmitted from the rocking arm member to the wire member and from the wire member to the cam member 14. |
