The method involves providing a metal sheet with a base coat for forming a wide side surface and treating a primer coating to increase surface tension. The base coat is printed with the wide side surface using digital printing process under radiation treatment and/or heat treatment of the ink. The metal sheet is folded, so that the edge of the fold is passed through or over a printed area, where the metal sheet provides a zinciferous plated steel sheet or light metal sheet, an aluminum sheet or sheet of an aluminum alloy. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a door or goal element manufacturing method (2) a door or gate element.
