The sensor device (12) has a transmitter wheel (14) connected with a rotating element, where the transmitter wheel has multiple magnetic event detectors (16). The sensor device is arranged to allow a detection of the magnetic events in a speed range of the rotating element. The magnetic events are generated by the magnetic event detectors of a reading mark (18). The magnetic event detectors of another reading mark (20) exceeds the magnetic event detectors of the former reading mark around a factor. An independent claim is included for a sensor system with a controller.
