The hydrostatic drive has two hydraulic motors by which an output shaft (10) is driven. The former hydraulic motor is a hydraulic motor adjustable in its displaced volume and the latter hydraulic motor is a constant hydraulic motor not adjustable with respect to its displaced volume. The two hydraulic motors are operated in both rotational directions as motors and also as hydraulic pumps. The latter hydraulic motor is used as pump for cooling and filtering.
