PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of reducing power consumption by speeding up start of a predetermined unit to be controlled.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 100 comprises an operation unit CPU 115 for controlling an operation of an operation panel 114 that receives an operation input, and a main CPU 103 for controlling an operation of an image formation unit 121. The operation unit CPU 115 performs return processing for causing the operation panel 114 to return to an operable state without performing synchronization processing for achieving synchronization with the main CPU 103 when shifting from an energy saving mode to a state where only the operation panel 114 can operate. |
