<p>Disclosed are a set top box and a using method based on a set top box. In the set top box, a touch screen is configured to receive operation mode information, the operation mode information comprising one of the followings: a set top box (STB) mode and a TV mode; and a processor is configured to determine a manner for displaying an operation result of an STB according to the received operation mode information, when the operation mode information is the STB mode, display the operation result on the STB, and when the operation mode information is the TV mode, display the operation result on a TV. The technical solution of the present invention implements diversified development directions of STBs so that the STBs become mobile and portable, and have touch screens.</p> |
